We Survived!

So soccer season has ended we survived all the practices and games. We made it through the cold, wind, and rain. I had Natalie, Katie and Ryan in soccer, so going to 3 practices and 3 games a week was event full. There were many times I didn't want to go because I do not like the cold and the wind. But it was fun. Ryan's team won every game. Katie and Natalie I think won about half of their games. They really don't keep score. It was so fun watching 4 year olds running up and down the field chasing the ball. Natalie went from being shy to running after that ball and getting it down the field. Katie learned how to be a goalie this year. Ryan got to play on a regular field this year. Now with school out and soccer done, time to find something else to keep us busy.

First Piano Recital

So Katie and Ryan had their first piano recital. It was awesome. They were so nervous. Katie played Old McDonald and Ryan played Follow the Prophet. They got to see what you can accomplish when you stick to it. They haven't been playing very long but the progress that they have made is good. I love to hear them practice it brings a smile to my face every time.

Too quiet

So you all know the feeling. When the kids are too quiet you know that they are into something. This happens a lot with Kyle. He is always getting into something. This morning I found him with a jar of peanut butter and a knife eating it and sharing it with the dogs. That is better than what he is usually doing. The other morning he let the parakeet out of the cage and the dogs where chasing it all over. Good thing I hadn't clipped his feathers yet, otherwise they would of had a tasty treat and I would of had a mess.
Gotta love little ones.

1st day of kindergarten

So it is a bitter sweet moment sending Katie to kindergarten. Full day kindergarten at that. She had dad take her, which is probally a good thing. I think I would cry. I feel this is the first of many to help prepare for as she grows up and moves on. Having to let them go and find out what is out in the real world. I look forward to hear about her first day.
I thought maybe it might be easier, since she has been in preschool for 2 years and I have been sending Ryan to school for 5 years. But I think it was just as hard to send Katie as it was for me to send Ryan. I still have 2 more to go.

I finally gave in.

The kids have wanted a dog for so long. The thought of dogs in the house didn't appease me. We talked with several people and decided on these poodles. They shed very little and they are small.
So, we finally welcomed not just one but two new dogs to our family. They are puppies. What was I thinking! So we get to potty train 2 dogs. I have to be honest it hasn't been that bad yet.

This is Fudge

This is Buddy,.

aquarium

We had some friends in town, so we took a few hours off of school and work and headed to the aquarium. It was fun hanging out with them.
Always fun to see the diffrent fish.

my cleaning munchkin

Kyle loves to vacuum. Every time I get the vacuum out, it is a fight who gets it going first. I usually have him get his vacuum and do it along side me. But like everything else the real thing is better. I was busy cleaning the kitchen and the vacuum was out and he was able to vacuum the whole front room, even the dirt he pulled out of the plant. He even moved the chairs. It was awesome. I didn't even have to ask him to do it. I hope I can keep this love for vacuuming going in him. I wish I didn't have so many stairs then he could just keep going through out the whole house.
