Halloween

This was a fun year for Halloween. Ryan got to be what he wanted. Katies costume fit her personality. Natalie had a love for Minnie and Kyle got leftovers. The neighbors did a mini haunted house this year. We saw them setting stuff up. It was amazing to see what they were able to do. They transformed their garage with everything goolish. They didn't scare us because of the little kids. Ryan went to go in again by himself and they scared him good. So bad that he had tears. After we got home it was fun to sit on the porch and listen to the older kids go through it and scream.

We started out with good weather and playing in the leaves. Katie went and raked the neighbors leaves and played in them. Then it snowed and snowed. Oh, how fun it is playing in the snow. Not so much shoveling it. We had Kyle out in the snow last year, but this year he got to to go walking in it. He had a hard time when he would fall down he couldn't get up. I pulled him on the sled up and down the street and enjoyed that. The other kids enjoy eating the snow more than anything. Gross.

Katie had her preschool Halloween party at the zoo. It started out cold and then warmed up a little.

a day in the mountains

We took our annual drive up to the mountains to see the trees and the changing of the leaves. We went to Mt. Evans and walked around the lake. We tried to collect colored leaves, but at that altitude you find very few colored leaves just pine trees. It is still fun walking around the lake.

So we went to Utah and Idaho for Labor Day. The kids got to go on Grandpa's boat and fish and he also let them drive it. They were so excited. Grandpa has had this boat for awhile and when we have been there the weather hasn't cooperated. My kids love fishing, they can't get enough of it.

We couldn't keep the girls out of the worms. Natalie constantly had them and was playing with them.

The joys of a 1 year old

My little man turned 1 a month ago. It has taken me awhile to have time to upload the pictures. I can't believe Kyle is already 1. He started walking about 2 weeks ago. He has learned that there is new found freedom with walking. He can reach things. He is into everything. He especially likes to go in the bathroom and pull all the toilet paper off the rolls. So we have resorted to talking the toilet paper off the toilet paper holders.

Determined

So Katie keep asking for her training wheels to be taken off. We would take them off and she would try to ride her bike. Then she would stop riding and I would want them back on so she could keep practicing with them on. She would insist that they stay off. So we had to put them on so she could ride her bike for a bike parade at church. Two days later she wanted them off. So Rich took them off for her. I went outside last night and she could pedal a little before she got scared and stopped. By the end of the night she had it down. NO training wheels. She is one determined little girl.

SUMMER FUN

One of our water fights turned into spraying everyone with the hose. Kyle doesn't like the grass so he stays on the driverway. He likes to do his spider man crawl. Ryan decided to join him.

Lemonade anyone?

Ryan is always trying to find ways to make money. He enlisted his sister Katie to help him. He first wanted to sell 1 cup for $5. I had to explain that is to much. Then he went down to $1. I had to explain you could by a sode for that price, unless he was going to use bigger cups. He finally setteled on .15 cents for a cup. He made $4.20 that's after charging me for some. He had some people give him extra money for the effort. He thought that was cool. I had to explain to him that he owed me money for the cool aid and lemonade. But in the end I let him keep the money. He worked hard and had fun.

Kyle was fussy one day and just wanted to chew and suck on everything. So I decided to get out the pacifiers to see if that would make him a little happier. As you can see that lasted for a minute. First Natalie got hold of them, then Katie wanted to give it a try. In the end Kyle didn't want them and was back to his happy self. I am still trying to find them all. Natalie took off with them and I haven't been able to find them. Eventually they will turn up.

She graduated well over a month ago. It has taken me a while to update. She enjoyed it a lot.

It was a fun season. It is fun watching 4 and 5 yr olds playing soccer. They all just hover around the ball. Katie had fun. It is interesting she has no problem taking the ball away from her brother, but when it came to taking it away from her opponent she couldn't do it.

The car dealer that Rich does work for finally received a new camaro. He got to take it back to the shop and tint the windows. When he asked Ryan to go with him, his eyes got really bike. They were both on top of the world.

Our Snowman

Finally some snow to Make a Snowman. We are very proud of our snowman.
It is amazing how playing in the snow is always fun. This snow was very wet and hard to shovel, but lots of fun being in. Natalie wasn't sure about the snow. She likes to eat it. It took a while to convince her to sit down in it.I made her a seat and had her sit down on it, then she knew it was okay to sit in the snow. Kyle woke up so he got to go out in it for a little while. He wasn't sure of it at first. But he started laughing when the snowflakes fell on his face. It's amazing how a snowflake on your nose can make anyone laugh.

Even though it pretty much snowed everyday we were visiting Grandma & Grandpa. The kids enjoyed their visit with them. They got to hang out with cousins. Trent showed Ryan some new websites to play games on. Katie had fun with Cherakie and Raquel. The last night there Ryan and Katie along with their cousins put on a play. Snow White and the 3 dwarf's. Katie was the dwarf grumpy and Ryan was the narrator. It was a great play. When it did clear up we spent time outside.

After, finally getting snow just before spring break. We had 2 days to play in it before heading out to Utah to visit Grandma and Grandpa.

For a little boy who doesn't like to sleep very well he sure can be happy when he wants to be. He enjoys sitting up by himself. There was no sister around to smoother him.

Natalie got to hold a trantula. She keep going back to hold it. Ryan & Katie refused to hold it. Kyle just hung out in his stroller.
